〉 20. Carpet Traditional carpets are not recyclable because they interweave and glue together different materials. More than 95% of the carpets in the world end up in landfills or incinerators. DSM from the Netherlands redesigns the manufacturing process of its carpet Niaga. They use heating and pressure to change the texture of fibers made from recycled materials and adopt a glue that “unclicks” when exposed to a signal after use. In the end, the carpets could be disassembled and return to raw materials for the next carpet. “Niaga” spelled in reverse is “again,” returning to the starting point for a circular use.  〉
